I'M ALIVE

WOW, I finally can communicate with you all. So good. It feels like it has been forever!
Alrighty, so the Hurricane was pretty fun. We got stuck in our apartment on the 30th floor for 2 whole days. Wasn't that bad. What was the coolest thing is that the building was swaying. Literally, I was just chilling and thought to myself, why am I moving? And then realized the wind was rocking the building. Super good. Also before the storm I bought 4 monsters to help me not want to die, so I pounded 2 and was feeling pretty good. Although we just hung out inside EVERY SINGLE window was leaking water. So while everyone was doing missionary work and stuff, I was going from window to window mopping and drying water. I literally did this for 4 hours. So good.
Some crazy news, This Thursday is transfers. And I am kicking my trainer out! He is headed to Dai Bou and I am staying here with an Elder Dubfield. He is a great guy, wonderful missionary, and an Aussie. So this is gonna be great. AND neither of us have any district or zone leadership crap so we can focus completely on the area. I am pretty pumped. I will be sure to send some really good pics next week.
This week has been pretty crazy, before the storm we were meeting with a ton of people, I was on 3 more exchanges and it has just been hectic. Something really cool, on one of the exchanges I was with Elder De Guzman, the Tapacios cousin that I meet on the Christmas Party, and we met this dope kid. We were waiting at the bus stop and this guy walks up and is chilling for the bus too. I say hi, he says hi. I notice that he has down syndrome. Then he looks at my shoes and tries to sneak a pic of them. I start a conversation with him, and he is hilarious. He starts by asking about where I got my shoes and how much they are. (kind of like my street contacting strategy) He starts telling us that he loves bowling and I asked him if he does it competitively. He said yeah, and then something I didn't understand. Translated it on my phone and it says "Special Olympics" I MET AN OLYMPIAN!!! this kid is so cool. After that we got back on to shoes and he taught us how to tie shoes, it was great. Gave him a flyer to go on LDS.org latter with his mom. He was such a stud.
thats about it, obviously lots of stuff happened but most of it i forget but know this!!!!! I am safe and have the post caffeine jitters
-love, Elder Young
oh and me and De Guzman went door knocking for a few hours, felt like a real missionary lol
