We went to an open mic

JK, we didn't actually go to an open mic night or anything. We just had testimony meeting yesterday and man let me tell you guys. My ward went absolutely nuts. The bishop started it off pretty good, but he was cracking a few more jokes then usual and was all over the place. Next up a brother went up and had his fun. Then our patriarch and his wife went up and they both chastised the ward and said they need to be having more children and that was weird. (We just had a baby blessing) Then all the youth got up and bore their testimony about their experiences at EFY which was this last week. They all just went hard. Crazy jokes everyone was laughing, and it was pretty bad. I only understood a little bit and it was funny, but afterward my comp and I looked at each other and where like "yeah, that probably wasn't the most reverent sacrament meeting..." Its ok though.
Also our sacrament meeting changed from 10 to 9, and so I wasn't expecting a whole lot of people to make it on time. But it was pretty good! One thing that really got to me though, we are teaching this older man called Dahng sin sang (Mr. Dung) and he has a lot of problems. He has been coming to church and meeting with us regularly and it is wonderful. This last morning however I didn't think he was gonna make it to church. The time change the weather and it just felt like he wasn't going to come. I was ok with that, wasn't super mad or disappointed. But then I saw him walk through the front doors, and man let me tell you that I felt a wave of joy for this man. Through all that he goes through, whatever he has done in his past and whatever ails him at this current stage in his life, he knows that this Gospel ,whatever it is, gives him peace. It eases his pain. It strengthens his resolve. I can't lie, after I shook his hand and thought about him and his simple expression of faith I cried. I hope I can continue to help this man.
We are also teaching this wonderful young man whose name is Ivan and he is getting freaking BAPTIZED on Sunday!! can I get a what-what!!!! so pumped. Somethings though. We have only taught him for a week and still need to go over some things like tithing and keeping the Sabbath day holy but we have taught this wonderful young man the word of wisdom and law of chastity, and even though he has a few questions with both of them he is willing to change to receive the ordinance of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. What a stud man. You have no Idea how ecstatic we are for this guy to receive baptism. The ward likes him he likes them and its all just great. Pic included
Alright gang, catch ya next week on the District lol
