Christmas Call Home
We were able to connect with Elder Young around 7:30pm our time. We spoke to him for so long! We laughed. We cried. We shared tender thoughts and support. Watching him interact with their recent convert was so sweet. What a great blessing to be able to see his face and hear him laugh.
Thankful for once
Man, this week has been a bit all over the place, BUT our friend Dor Dor got baptized this last week and it was honestly super crazy!! We have a some work ahead of us, but I am excited to help these people come closer to Christ, as I myself am trying to get closer to Him.
Hope everyone is doing great! Talk to you soon!
Baptism of Dor Dor
"Oh Sh*t"
Yeah so we were having our weekly ward correlation meeting and a little kid mistakenly walked into our meeting and his face gets super red, and you hear him whisper "...oh shit..." the funniest thing that has happened on my mission. Our ward also had a baptism for an 8 year old after church so we attended because there is a investigator who wants to see a baptism before she gets baptized, so we are watching it all go down. As they walk into the font I look right at the little kid, and it was the SAME kid who walked into our correlation meeting. I died, I like kinda freaked out and was like " IT'S HIM!!!" haha But it was all good.
This week has been ok, just changing as fast as I can from two Elder companionships to one elders and one sisters. So yeah, this week has been pretty crazy. Our District is also just my companionship and the sisters... the smallest in the mission.. so that's something. No pics this week sorry but next week when I get my stuff figured out! hope everyone is doing well!! Merry Christmas!

Transfer Calls!
We are getting Sisters!! Wow so good! It is gonna be really nice because we have SOOO many female members and RC's and investigators that we will just constantly be turning over! I am pretty pumped! But sadly my Asian companion is moving, he is finishing training another elder on the Hong Kong Island. So I will now be companions with Elder Gubbler! He is a really funny guy, and his Cantonese is INSANE. Gonna learn so much Canto.
Getting pretty festive out here, sike not at all. Literally all the Christmas spirit is within. NOBODY out here celebrates it, and it makes me real sad. BUT if you ask people why we have Christmas on the street they know for a fact that it is about Jesus! It's real cool. To cheer up the neighborhood we belted some Christmas carols out of our window during Comp study. haha
I also had subway for the first time out here and it tasted SOOO good!
Aight thats about it for us! talk to you all next week!

I want 'em to race!
Well our kids English class was pretty lit this past week. We had some mad kids. They are so crazy. We teach these little genius more colloquial stuff so they can work more on conversation. One Elder that was teaching the class and needed to wrap up the class, and so he was thinking how to end it. Then you just this wry smile go across his face and he mumbles "I want 'em to race" and it was the funniest thing. He told them to line up at the back and it was the most insane thing(gif)
We had this cool stake activity that was all about family history and it was super dope (pics) me and my comp Elder Liu just talked to some members, ate some food and then bounced. Our mission president helped us teach on of our areas investigators why we can't drink tea. it was really funny. He is so good!
Also this week we got some new friends! Their names are Jeff and Macy!(they low key are dating and it's pretty funny) They both are just really nice people and just fun to be around. Hopefully we can help them come closer to Christ and choose for themselves if what we say is true or not. Hopefully we can meet with them this week!
Hope everyone is having a great Christmas back in the states! talk to y'all next week.

Thanksgiving Roast
This week was pretty crazy. We had our Thanksgiving party as a zone on Thursday and it was, pretty awkward.. We are all pretty cool people but just not very comfortable with one another yet. So hopefully we can really get together and be more unified. So we ate some turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green been casserole, fruit, rolls, brownies, and pies. It was so good, but have of the zone got sick afterward and that was hilarious. They were all complaining that they felt really sick, my companion got hit too. He really wasn't feeling good so we tried to power through and do some personal but he just slept through it. (gif included) then he said he needed to lie down so he knocked out for 4 hours... Lets just say I got some super good scripture study in...
The other pretty cool thing this week was I went on exchanges up to Tai Wai. And these Elders have the MOST expensive apartment in the mission. And man it was HUGE. In all honesty it wasn't that big, but compared to what I have been living in it was gigantic. That exchange all we did was teach lessons and it was lit. I really connected with my Zone Leader and the exchange flew by. After the Exchange we had a little music event at the Kowloon Tong church. It was sooooo good. One of the performers was this OLD guy and he looks like a straight thug. He walks up, faces the crowd, and then shows off his amazing hat. Man, I suck
This week has been a lil bit of a roller coaster. To say it briefly, I am still adjusting to my new companion. I am really sorry for the past weeks of crappy emails. Here are a ton of photos and gifs, out of time but next week will be better!

Cow Head Corner
What is good my few friends that still read this. Sorry for last week. We were in an Apple store and literally I could not focus. I wrote those few things to a couple of people and then just listened to the music and danced around the Apple store and played with iPads the size of moniters and the new iPhones that are straight from space. Honestly was fun, but I am sorry. This week will be better!
First off, Transfers are in and I am finally leaving my baby area! I am honestly all over the place. I haven't slept well the past couple of nights. I am eating a lot less of my Ramen. I am already almost packed up and I feel really weird. Not gonna lie I cried a lil' bit, and I feel like I will do so again this next few nights. I just love this area, I love the ward. It became like my little home here in Hong Kong. But sadly I learned something from this. I have learned how to love these people and the area, I have full confidence that I can do that in any place I go. The thing I learned is that I have not been giving everything I have. I am crying because I feel like could have done more. I know I could have done more and I feel like I let some people down. It was a strong slap in the face but I remember something the Area Seventy 2nd councilor shared with us. "When I left my mission I was with 5 other Elders and 3 Sisters. We all reminisced and shed tears of joy for our missions, except for one Elder. He wept for the time he wasted, and the things he had not done." I will not be this last Elder. I have recently felt the same way and I will no longer just flow through. I want to be ready and worthy to be where the Lord needs me to be and be obedient to the enticing of the spirit.
My new area is Ngau Tau Kok, or Cow Head Corner lol. The area is booming in growth so I hope I don't mess it up. My new comp is an Elder Liu from Utah, he is a pretty cool guy. He was in my Zone my first transfer. Still a junior so that's nice. just have to focus on the area.
I also have been playing a TON of basketball lately. I have been getting a little bit better, but like not to impressive. I just need to work on my grip and then I could dunk. Dunk on some kids and then dunk 'em in the font lol. No pics sorry, I will catch you guys next week. I'll tell yall all about the new place.

Conference and Hot Showers
I have not had a hot shower since I left the MTC. But this last week we finally got our heater fixed and man I steam up this bathroom so bad. I for real am melting my skin off every time I take a shower. It is so nice. Also we finally watched General Conference this week. Got to say I really am upset at myself for always falling asleep during conferences because, man, this is great stuff. Granted I did take a power nap halfway through a talk during Sunday morning, but hey, I'm improving. I honestly got to say though, the talks have really helped me understand where I can improve and how I can come closer to Christ. Also, got me really excited for next Conference. All these new changes really do make me confident that this church is the true church, and that it is led by prophecy and revelation and in unity with the Savior.
We have been getting fed so much lately it's crazy. I haven't bought groceries in 3 weeks. Now mom, don't worry, they feed us and give us food to take home and man, it is absolutely insane. My pants still don't fit which is frustrating. but that is besides the point. But actually my thighs are getting bigger because we are doing this jump workout and by the end of next week, I reckon that I could dunk. I am pretty pumped. Right now I am hitting mid palm on the rim and thats pretty close, just got to get a few more inches.
Also got a haircut. Its REAL short. I miss my long hair... jk doing it to be a good lil' obedient missionary. I guess....
This last week we also went to the Temple again. I was excited because its the hecken temple but also because I thought we went to the temple every 6 months but it is actually 3 so thats great. I really went with the spirit and prepared myself for it and felt wonderful. We also got a bomb district pic.
Although a lot of time this week was spent doing other things running around and only a bit for our area we actually destroyed must of our goals. We planned for 5 new people being taught, 5 at church, and 5 baptismal dates. We got 6 new people and 5 people that we reteaching came to church. So good. I keep feeling at times that our goals are ridiculously high and at times impossible. But with faith, if these things are what God wants us to do they will get done. So crazy to see this stuff happening. Sadly however, we haven't been able to get many people to accept baptism but hopefully that will change soon.
I am eating just fine mom, look a bowl of corn for dinner!
Stay safe peeps.
